Andhra Pradesh builds pucca houses for poor families without one, under PM Awas Yojana (Urban and Gramin) with state support. The old Jagananna Colonies were renamed PMAY-NTR Nagar in January 2025.

Help to build a pucca house — PMAY gives ₹1.2 lakh in villages and up to ₹2.5 lakh in towns, released in stages as construction progresses; Andhra Pradesh adds extra help for SC, ST and other weaker families. (about ₹1,20,000 one-time)
